As a child growing up, Derek was always passionate about creating compelling content that engages and educates readers. Reading comic and sci-fi books nourished his passion for heroics. Cultural mythologies allowed him the imagination of wanting to see heroes like himself.
As a born-again writer, artist, and illustrator, Derek enjoys creating and developing his own imagery of what African influence should look like, and the impact it could have in a world of infinite possibilities.
